Egypt & Kuwait Talk for Investment Opportunities

Eng. Tarek El Molla, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources recieved Dr. Abby Badawi, CEO of Kuwait Energy Company and Eng. Manssour Aboukhamseen, Executive chairman of the company, as well as Eng. Kamel El Sawy, President of Kuwait Energy Egypt, with the attendance of the Ministry’s First Undersecretary for gas affairs. During the meeting, they reviewed the company’s work programs in its concession areas, in addition to the available upstream investment opportunities and methods of increasing its activities.

The Minister clarified that Kuwait Energy is one of the most successful companies operating in Egypt in the petroleum exploration and production domains, achieving unique results in its concession areas. He pointed out EGPC’s positive participation with Kuwait Energy for developing both Fayhaa and Siba Fields in Iraq, which considered successful models for fruitful joint cooperation outside of Egypt.

For his part, the Chairman of Kuwait Energy congratulated Eng. Tarek El Molla on the inauguration of the huge Zohr field, praising his significant role for implementing the project in a record time. He asserted that Kuwait Energy is looking forward to achieving more successes in its concession areas in Egypt and participating in the international bids, offered by the Petroleum Sector for oil and gas exploration.
