Egypt & US Sign MoU on Cooperation in Energy Field

Egypt's Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Wealth and Ministry of Electricity and Renewable Energy signed with the US Department of Energy a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in the field of energy.

The MoU was signed by Minister of Oil Tarek El-Molla, as a representative of both the Egyptian ministries, along with US Secretary of Energy Rick Perry during a meeting held at the US Chamber of Commerce premises here.

The MOU aims at creating a framework of constructive cooperation in the field of energy, ease exchange and sharing of knowledge as well as skills and technical expertise in the targeted domain.

The two sides will hold talks on means of beefing up cooperation in the field of energy once a year as part of the strategic dialogue between the two countries.
