Petroleum Minister Meeting with CEO of the German DEA

Eng. Tarek El Molla, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources received Mrs. Maria Moraeus Hanssen, CEO of the German company DEA and the accompanying delegation. During the meeting, they reviewed the firm’s currently ongoing projects of developing and producing oil and gas, as well as targeted investment opportunities.

The Minister clarified that DEA is considered one of Egypt’s key partners for over 40 years with exquisite successes in upstream activities and development of discovered fields, West Nile Delta fields in North Alexandria and West Delta Deep Marine (WDDM) areas, in collaboration with the British BP.

The CEO of DEA pointed out that Egypt became more attracting for investors, especially in light of the latest successes the company achieved in the North Alexandria project. She noted that the company has ambitious plans to pump new investments in Desouq and the Gulf of Suez areas.
