Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Tareq el Molla has said the Egypt Petroleum Show (EGYPS 2020) is expected to open up new horizons for luring Arab and foreign investments, given the great successes witnessed by the Egyptian oil sector over the recent period.
El Molla made the remarks as he chaired a meeting of the higher committee responsible for organizing the 4th edition of EGYPS 2020, according to a statement released by the Petroleum Ministry on Sunday. Under the theme of “North Africa and the Mediterranean: Delivering the Energy Needs of Tomorrow”, EGYPS 2020 will be held between February 11-13, 2020. During the meeting, the petroleum minister noted that the participation of world companies in the show will provide a perfect opportunity to exchange expertise and get acquainted with the latest technologies in the oil industry, the statement added. It will also offer a good chance to review measures taken by the Egyptian government to turn into a regional hub for energy trade, the statement read. Around 60 world countries are due to take part in the show. The event is due to see specialized sessions on investment and finance in various fields of the oil industry, with a focus on the standards of security, safety and occupational health in the energy sector, the statement said. The show is expected to discuss the file of digital transformation in oil industry. |
