Egyptian-Norwegian Cooperation Talks in the Aspects of Oil and Gas Industry

Eng. Tarek El Molla, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources received Mr. Sten Arne Rosnes, Norwegian Ambassador to Egypt to discuss fields of cooperation in the Oil and Gas industry, in light of the ongoing and direct discussions between both countries’ officials.

During the meeting, they tackled the possibility of benefitting from Norwegian expertise in the Sector’s Modernization project in addition to reviewing various models of successful partnership between Egyptian and Norwegian companies.

For his part, the Norwegian Ambassador assured that his country appreciates Egypt’s significant reforms to the investment climate, adding that Norwegian oil investors are interested in the current investment opportunities in the oil and gas areas. Also, he reviewed the experiences and the technologies of the Norwegian companies, that may recommend them to expand their investments in the Egyptian petroleum sector.
