Eng. Tarek El Molla, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources received Mr. Thomas Rappuhn, Chief Executive Officer of the German DEA company and the accompanying delegation, including Mr. Dirk Warzecha, Chief Operating Officer and Thomas Radwitz, General Manager of DEA Egypt.
During the meeting, they reviewed DEA’s projects and activities in Nile Delta, Mediterranean and Gulf of Suez areas as well as targeted investments plans. The Minister asserted on the fruitful cooperation with DEA in producing gas for the first time from West Delta gas fields in North Alexandria and West Mediterranean deep-waters, in which DEA shares with the British BP, the project’s main operator. They succeeded in cooperation with the Petroleum Sector, in wrapping up the first phase of the project, producing gas 8 months ahead of schedule.
