Eng. Tarek El Molla Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources received Dr. Stelios Nicolaides, Director, Hydrocarbons Service, Ministry of Energy, Commerce, Industry and Tourism. In the presence of Cyprus Ambassador to Egypt, Eng. Mohamed El Masry chairman of EGAS and Geologist Ashraf Farag, the Ministry’s Undersecretary for Exploration and Agreements.
During the meeting, they discussed development and maximizing utilization of available oil and gas resources as well as reviewing the status of the latest gas discoveries achieved in both countries and means of getting optimum economic utilization for the welfare of both sides. Furthermore, they reviewed the status of signed MOUs between both countries, which included an agreement on joint cooperation in oil and gas upstream activities in addition to exchanging technical information. |
