Eng. Tarek El Molla, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources received Wang Yupu, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Chinese National Group, Sinopec Corp. and the accompanying delegation in the presence of the Chinese Ambassador to Egypt and David Chi, Regional Vice President and General Manager of Apache Egypt as well as the Ministry’s First Undersecretaries for Oil & Gas Affairs, Eng. Mohamed Taher and Eng. Mohamed Moanes and Geologist Ashraf Fikry Undersecretary for Exploration and Agreements.
The Minister pointed out that they reviewed and evaluated the future collaboration fields as well as methods of bolstering cooperation in new domains such as Engineering, Refining, Petrochemicals and Technology. V For his part, the Chairman of Sinopec Corp. said that Egypt is a promising market for investments particularly in the fields of crude and products trading which comes within the Chinese direction towards expanding its investments in promising markets. He pointed out that the current Egyptian economic reforms and the restructure of the Petroleum Sector provides incentive and significant opportunities to invest in the various petroleum activities. |
