Eng. Tarek El Molla, the Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, received the Kuwaiti Ambassador to Egypt, Mohammed Saleh Al Thuwaikh where they reviewed joint cooperation domains between the two countries in the oil and gas field.
The Minister noted that the cooperation between the two sides included contracting on the Kuwaiti crude oil import volumes to be refined in the Egyptian refineries in addition to importing quantities of fuel oil from the Kuwaiti Petroleum Company (KPC) with payment facilities that has lasted for several years. Also, the Kuwaiti companies such as Kufpec and Kuwait Energy work in Egypt in the field of Oil & Gas exploration & production and they achieved outstanding results in their concession areas. He pointed out that, the positive participation of the Egyptian General Petroleum Corp., EGPC, with Kuwait Energy Co. to develop the fields of Faiha and Ciba in Iraq, which represents a step forward in joint cooperation outside Egypt. For his part, the Kuwaiti Ambassador stressed on the strength and durability of the Egyptian-Kuwaiti relations and their keenness on supporting and strengthening the bilateral cooperation between the two countries.
