Discussions with President of the Society of Petroleum Engineers

Eng. Tarek El Molla, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources received Mr. Darcy Spady, President of the Society of the Petroleum Engineers (SPE), who is visiting Egypt to witness the progress that the Egyptian Oil and Gas Industry has achieved. They discussed during the meeting means of utilizing the Society’s expertise especially the technical part of the upstream and downstream domains as well as technicians training to enhance their technical and professional efficiency. The Ministry’s First Undersecretary for Gas Affairs and CEO of EGAS attended the meeting.

The Minister reviewed during the meeting the new gas projects, currently being implemented, which will contribute to increasing Egypt’s natural gas production rates, thus achieving self-sufficiency.

Mr. Spady pointed out that the Society is interested in visiting the petroleum sections in Egyptian universities to offer technical back up through conferences and workshops for the students.
