Petroleum Minister Tareq al-Molla asserted that the national project on supplying natural gas to houses is one of the main strategic projects currently being carried out in Egypt and a main pillar of the government's program for improving services offered to citizens and easing burdens on them.
A report, the minister received from deputy head of the Egyptian Natural Gas Holding Company (EGAS) for planning and projects Gamal Hejazy, indicated that the total number of housing units to which natural gas had been supplied in FY 2015/2016 in 25 governorates hit 715,000 at investment cost of about 1.5 billion pounds.
