Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli said that the cabinet approved recommendations of the ministerial committee on the re-pricing of natural gas used in various industries.
This decision falls within the framework of the economic, environmental, political and social changes in the local market and as per the provisions of Law no. (196/2017) for the Regulation of Gas Market Activities. In statements, the cabinet said that it approved the new pricing at 6 dollars per one million BTU for the cement industry and 5.5 dollars per one million BTU for iron, steel, aluminum, copper, ceramics and porcelain industries.
