Discussions with the Australian Ambassador to Egypt in Oil & Gas Domians

Eng. Tarek El Molla, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources received Mr Neil Hawkins, Australia’s Ambassador to Egypt. They discussed the joint projects in oil, gas and mineral resources domains between the two countries as well as means of opening new horizons of cooperation and making use of Australian technology and expertise in the Petroleum Sector’s ongoing projects.

Also, they reviewed available investment opportunities in the Petroleum and Mining sectors along with the steps taken to attract investments including the Gas Regulatory and Mineral Resources Laws. The Minister reviewed the results of the latest gold Bid-Round offered to international mining companies, as they are, currently, finalizing the procedures in order to sign the agreements.

Furthermore, the Minister reviewed the most important projects implemented by the Petroleum Sector as well as the future opportunities for oil & gas upstream activities in the Red Sea and projects for infrastructure development at Ain Sokhna area.
