Sisi Issues Law for Oil Exploration in Ras Qattara

President Abdel Fattah El Sisi issued Law No. 136 of 2019 allowing the Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources in contracting with the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation (EGPC) and the Egyptian National Petroleum for Exploration and Development Company (ENPEDCO) to search and explore oil in the south-east region of Ras Qattara in the Western Desert.
