Eng. Tarek El-Molla, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, discussed with his Mauritanian counterpart, Minister of Oil, Energy, Minerals, Eng. Mohamed Salem Ould Al-Bashir, in the presence of Mauritania's Ambassador to Cairo, the methods to support cooperation between the two countries and ways of enhancing and activating the protocol of bilateral cooperation in petroleum and mining fields, which was signed on the sidelines of the Mauritanian President’s visit to Egypt last April, in order to expand horizons of economic cooperation.
Moreover, both Ministers discussed the possibility of achieving joint benefit in the field of mineral resources, promoting the exchange of experiences, in order to enhance this promising domain. Mauritania’s Minister expressed his strong desire to receive assistance by Egyptian experts in the field of oil and petroleum agreements, and training of technical personnel using the benefit of the Egyptian training centers. Lastly, El Molla pointed to the results of the visit of the Mauritanian delegation to Cairo and agreed to form a joint working group to determine the terms of bilateral cooperation.
