Egypt’s Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Tarek El Molla announced the winners in the largest ever oil and gas exploration and production bid round, on the sidelines of the Egypt Petroleum Show.
The winner bidders are ExxonMobil, BP, Total, Shell, Petronas, DEA, BG, and Ieoc Production BV. Shell which won three connssiones, the west of Faiyum, the southern east of Horus, and Abu Sinan. Exxonmobil, BP, IEOC, Total, Shell and Petronas were awarded exploration rights in North East Amereya Offshore. IEOC Production BV won the bid round for South East Siwa. BG and Petronal won the bid round in Sidi Gaber Offshore area and in North Al Fanar Offshore. Dea won exploration rights for in East Damanhour Onshore Concession. IEOC and BP won the bid round for West Sherbin Onshore. In 2018, EPGC announced tender for five blocks in the Western Desert, two in the Nile Valley, three in the Gulf of Suez and one in the Eastern Desert. The EGAS also announced the largest tender in the company’s history, includes 13 offshore Mediterranean blocks and 3 in the Nile Delta.
