Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli attended the signing ceremony of a 1.25-billion-dollar agreement between Egypt's Carbon Holdings Co. and the Africa Finance Corporation to fund the Tahrir Petrochemical Complex project in Suez's Ain Sokhna.
The Tahrir Petrochemical Complex is the biggest petrochemicals project in the Middle East region with total investments of 11 billion dollars. The signing ceremony was attended by Investment and International Cooperation Minister Sahar Nasr and Head of the Suez Canal Authority and the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZone) Mohab Mamish. The Egyptian government is keen on attracting new investments into the Suez Canal Economic Zone, Nasr said. Mamish, meanwhile, said multiple incentives have been offered at local and international forums to lure businessmen to pump investments at the SCZone.
