Eng.Tarek El Molla, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, discussed with H.E. Neil Hawkins, Australia's Ambassador to Cairo, the various means to develop bilateral relations between both countries in Oil, Gas and Mineral Resources domains and achieve mutual economic benefits.
During the meeting with the Australian Ambassador, the Minister reviewed the investment opportunities in the Petroleum Sector, and ways to open new horizons for cooperation between the two countries in Mineral Resources domain, as well as benefiting from the Australian extensive experience in Mineral Resources exploration, production and manufacturing, to maximize the value-added. He also reviewed the available opportunities in mining activities and the steps taken by the government to stimulate investments in mineral resources exploration and exploitation, topped by the new mineral resources law in Egypt. The Australian Ambassador noted that his country is interested in investing in Egypt, in light of the available investment opportunities and the climate of stability. Moreover, the Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources received an invitation from the Australian Minister of Mining, Resources and Energy to participate in the International Conference of Mining and Resources which will be hosted at the Australian city, Melbourne.
