Thompson Kelly & Lewis, 7-Stage vertical turbine pumps, each unit to be supplied complete with the following pump accessories fitted as a unit: - Suction strainer, basket in stainless steel. - Discharge column, total length from floor mounting plate to suction end approx. 3000 mm x 170 mm dia., the column section to be made to suit total length requirement. Column joints shall be made flanged to A.S. table E standards. - Pump discharge bend integral with pump mounting base plate. - Stuffing box fitted with packed gland standard sealing arrangement. - Pump discharge head assembly, integral with thrust bearing housing, discharge bend and direct overhead mounting support for electric motor. - Rubber bush and pin type flexible coupling, to suit direct coupled arrangement between pump and electric motor driver. - Aluminum non-sparking coupling guard. Material of construction for the pump shall be as follows: Casing/bowl: Cast iron, Impeller: Copper tin bronze, Shaft: Stainless steel, Discharge column: Carbon steel (fabricated) with epoxy coating, Discharge bend: Cast iron, Motor support stool: Cast iron or cast steel, Suction strainer: Stainless steel, Lineshaft bearing: Ferroform or equal. Motors: Brook Hansen 4-pole, 1450 rpm horizontal foot mounted construction squirrel cage induction motors, totally enclosed fan cooled enclosure, weatherproof in compliance with IP 55 protection standards. Motors shall be built suitable for non-hazardous area of operation. Power supply requirement shall be 380 V/3 Ph/50 Hz. Motor winding will have class F insulation, with full load temperature rise limited to class B level.
