Burullus Gas Company, was established on September 7th, 1999 in accordance with the terms of the concession agreement issued by the Law No. 89 of 1995, to cover the West Delta Deep Marine (WDDM) Area offshore the Nile Delta. Burullus Gas Company is a joint venture company formed by BG 25%, EGPC 50% and Edison International 25%, to undertake exploration and field development operations on behalf of the WDDM Concession holders.

Burullus Gas Company activities include gas field development, exploration drilling, seismic surveys and studies.
