Tarek El Molla to Attend Bahrain's APICORP Energy Forum

Eng.Tarek El Molla, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, participated in the Energy Forum in Bahrain, organized by the Arab Petroleum Investments Corporation (APICORP), affiliated to the Organization of Arab Petroleum Exporting Countries, on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of its foundation.

The ministerial meeting, was attended by Eng. Ali Al-Naimi, Saudi Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Dr. Ali Al-Omair, Kuwaiti Oil Minister, Dr. Abdul Hussain Bin Ali Mirza, Bahraini Minister of Energy and Dr.Abid bin Abdullah al-Saadoun, APICORP Chairman of the Board of Directors, under the slogan "Plotting a New Course: Setting Policy in a Volatile Market".

They discussed policy priorities and strategies in light of lower oil prices and weaker demand, perspective of market volatility and the role that financial and oil market speculation play, in addition to energy efficiency, diversifying energy sources and downstream development, as well as reforming energy prices.
