Eng. Sherif Ismail, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources witnessed a contract signing to import LNG between the Egyptian Natural Gas Holding Company (EGAS) and the Russian Company, Gazprom LNG trade . The Contract was signed by Eng. Khalid Abedel Badiea chairman of EGAS and Mr. Jay Miller, General Director of Gazprom LNG Trade .
The contract stipulates the supply of 35 LNG shipments, i.e.7 shipments per year for 5 years. The delivery dates will be agreed upon starting from the second half of 2015.
